Electricritters 2012

Sorry if any of these pictures make you a little queasy.  I'm still trying to figure out how to use the night settings correctly.  Some pictures came out clear, some blurry, some crazy!  So, if these make you queasy, you won't offend me if you stop looking at them.

Anyway, we had a great evening at Electricritters at the Pueblo Zoo.  The kids were excited to be leaving the house after dark and since this is the longest night of the year, we thought it would be a good one to head to the zoo.  It took us about 45 minutes to walk through the decorated areas and by that time, the kids were cold, a little cranky, and definitely ready to come home to the cookies and cocoa they were promised.

 Starting down the path.

A rattlesnake - we got to walk right through him!

 Electricritters!

 Camel

Trying to get a picture of the "snow" falling on us, but it didn't work - obviously!

Giraffes

Hippos

Santa's sleigh being led by Sled-dogs.  Ephraim and Tabi both had to stop and wave to Santa since he was waving to them.

Dragon - we think St. George must have been after him!

Ed and the kids standing inside the big fish - just like Jonah!

 Penguins

Nutcracker - Ephraim was so excited!

Joie hanging out in the stroller.

Ed and Tabi - great picture of them, but strange shadowing on it.

Kangaroo hopping and a Bear.

 Peacock

This moose was scooping up and tossing a penguin on its back - really neat!

Santa on a tractor - he was also waving and so the kids kept calling out to him, "Hi Santa!!"

 Pig

Beautiful Butterfly

I know this one is hard to see, but it's a beaver gnawing on a tree.....

Then the tree falls on the beaver!

Hummingbird and a flower.

Johanna munching her cookies and sipping her cocoa.

Ed blocking the picture - you might be surprised how many pictures like this I actually have!

Sacrificing my gingerbread man to the hot cocoa!

Messy girl after dunking her cookies.....when Daddy told her they wouldn't fit in her glass, she shoved it in and broke her star to pieces....guess she felt the need to prove him wrong!

Ed and his boy after the cookies and cocoa were all gone!
