Today's Tuesday Adventure finally took us to the Children's Museum! The kids were thrilled! The museum changes its theme every month or two and they recently changed to "DIY Holiday". There are little craft stations set up everywhere which is awesome!
Visiting briefly with the carousel horse outside.
Ephraim's favorite statue is the drummer - pan and spoon in hand (and baseball cap on head)
Tabi likes the girl playing the horn
Ephraim and Tabi both chose this girl with the flags as Joie's favorite statue
Trying to play a game at the computer station - my kids don't "get" how a mouse works. They expect everything to work like an iPad.
Next to this giant nutcracker was a cool display of smaller nutcrackers and the giant Christmas tree had all kinds of bears under it.
Sitting in front of a gingerbread house.
Building a house
The "Baby Barn" for kids under 4....definitely their favorite space in the museum - there's even a nursing room just inside, so the older kids can play if you need to feed the baby!
Apple or Banana?
A buffalo puppet - fitting as we just read the Magic Tree House book Buffalo Before Breakfast last night.
Ephraim was watering his carrot!
More fruits and veggies
This is what is going on in the background of the last picture - couldn't resist snapping a shot of my daughter's plumber-butt!
Fun spinning chairs
Or tipping chairs
Love to see this girl standing - she will think about walking one day, right?
Ahhh, found the music toys!
Xylophone with no stick - we used a carrot!
Sinking in to the giant pear bean bag
After hitting the restroom (yay no accidents!), we stopped in the little theater on the way out - the screen showed a mountain-type scene with snow falling in front. It was cool, but I couldn't figure out the point. The kids did - they headed right on to the stage.
Playmotion - as they stood, the screen changed behind them.
It created snowmen out of their images
Watching as their snowmen are created.
They could not get enough. They both want to go back and try it out again!
We did one craft while we were here, they are supposed to be showing off the "presents" they made, but they were all too interested in looking at them themselves. Oh well!
We did a lot in a little over an hour and there are zillions more things to do there. Thinking this might be our next few adventures!
