I've been wanting to make shirts for my kiddos for this new baby. We still have "big brother" and "big sister" shirts that would fit everybody, but some have been worn a lot and are a bit rough (read: stained). I decided that this time around I'd like to make shirts for the kids and so a while back I was playing on pinterest and came across an easy tutorial for making personalized shirts. All I needed was a few blank t-shirts (easily found at the thrift store for about $1-2 each) and some bleach which was already in the cabinet.
The tutorial suggested using the Cricut (which I have) to cut out the letters. Unfortunately I have only one cricut cartridge which has letters of the alphabet and they were way too skinny when cut small enough for the baby's onesies. So, instead I used some wooden letters that I had lying around.
I love the way the shirts turned out - some bleached a little more than I had planned (especially the onesies which were paler to start with), but each one is unique and the kids love them. I can't wait to find out whether we get to use the blue onesie or the purple one!
