Ah, my sweet three year-old. Here he is doing some of his favorite things today:
Putting puzzles together - these are very easy 24-piece puzzles. He prefers 100+ right now and Nana got a few even harder for him for Christmas, but don't tell him, it's a surprise! They should keep him busy for a while.
Reading books - some that we have out right now - we go to the library weekly and usually check out more than 20 each time. He (and Tabi) will happily sit for hours to be read to. He's even doing big chapter books before bed now because he wants the story to last longer than one or two nights.
Playing with his bins - usually "2" is filled with Potato Head pieces and a body so that he can take it up to quiet time - "1" is Tabi's and "3" is Joey's, but they don't really use them yet. They are collapsible with a mesh bottom (from Ikea - love that place!) and we learned that if you collapse them and hold them closed then let go, they will shoot out across the room. It's a lot of fun!
