Tabitha's First(?) Haircut

Anybody remember this?  Sweet little Tabi had a random piggytail.  At least, that's what we called it.  It's abnormal hair growth surrounding a scar on her head that she was born with.  Anyway, the hair grows seriously quickly and so Tabi's first haircut happened when she was just 7 months old.  I had to trim that little piggytail.  It was driving me crazy!

So, here's her before.

 And, here's her after.

Now, since her hair has grown much, Tabi's little piggytail is not as noticeable.  It is still there, however.  You can see it here in her Easter picture.  Notice how much longer her right piggy is than her left?  About 2-3 inches longer.  Yikes!

So I decided it was time for a haircut.  Tabi's hair has been in her eyes a lot, and it's often ratty in the back with her fine hair and curls.  Here's a few pics before we started while Ephraim was getting his hair cut.

In the chair, getting ready for her first cut - she gets to hold the mirror to watch.

At the last minute, I opted to just trim her bangs and give her a side part to control the rest.

She did a good job of sitting still.

I just couldn't bear to cut off her curls!

Pretty little girl!  Still not sure I'd really consider this a first haircut.  I cut the tiniest little bit of bangs.

After a bath, we combed her hair nicely and put in a barrette, which won't stay put yet.

She looks so grown up here!

Showing off her little barrette.
