Chicago and Happy Baba (the finale)

Ed and the kids "sleeping" when I walked in the room to get them. Ephraim's not very good at pretending, but Tabi's doing a great job!

We walked down to a little park near Ed's parents' house where Ed used to play as a kid. The kids enjoyed the swings, but Ephraim said they are "too tight".

Tabi got upgraded to a spot on Daddy's lap instead and Ephraim got to sit in a big swing that's intended for the handicapped.

Peeking through the hole in the tunnel on his way to the slide.

The slides were a little warm already even though it was early in the day, so Ephraim was trying to keep his legs off the slide.

Tabi was not in the mood to play at the park today. She preferred to be held.

"Daddy too!" Loved watching Ed crawl through the tunnel to get to these two slides.

Even though he rode down it a dozen times by himself, Ephraim really wanted Ed to take him down the last time. They're so cute together.

Ephraim enjoyed some time with his second cousins, Gabe and Grace. See the beautiful geraniums by the kids? Grace kept pulling the whole plants out of the bed. Gram's poor flowers!

Four of Gram's great-grandkids sitting on her front steps. Too bad Tabi wasn't looking in the same direction as the other kids. Oh well!

Emily and Maggie with Diana posing for the camera. It was great of them (and Aunt Lisa) to come down for a visit.

Aunt Juli, Grace, Emily, and Gram. I think there are some little boys hiding behind Gram's chair as well.

Ephraim playing with one of his new bowling pins. He thinks they are so cool and all the kids had a blast with them. They may not get the idea of bowling yet, but the pins and ball are fun.

Tabi enjoyed the bowling pins as well, except she wanted to chew the plastic pictures off of them. She can't do this anymore since we have recently removed the plastic due to fear of consumption on her part.

My best friend, Rachel, is due with her first baby in September and I am so excited that I got to go to her baby shower. (And that was a very tasty cake!)

Ephraim had to help unwrap some of the presents. At least, when he wasn't chasing the little girls around the room and kissing them.

I re-gifted this adorable M&M onesie and bib back to Rachel after she gave it to me about 2 1/2 years ago before Ephraim was born. She and Brandon really liked it and so I agreed to return it to them when they had kids. It's adorable!

It's hard to hug when there are bellies in the way. The babies got to say "hi" to each other this way.

A more "normal" picture of the two of us! (And luckily I'm not making a face in this one.)

Sunday was our final "Happy Baba". (Ephraim's way of telling someone's birthday is to say Happy and then their name.) This is a cousins picture and an extra with Jayne on the left. She's practically family too, so it works.

Tabi's birthday cake - adorable with the tabby cat on it.

Here's Tabi's personal cake.

She needed little prompting to get started eating the icing.

She looks so pleased with herself!

Big brother had to steal a bite for himself!

She pretty well ate all the icing, but wasn't very interested in the cake itself. The icing smeared very well, though.

Here's the fam after the cake-eating. I was heading to clean Tabi up and we decided we needed a picture of all of us first. (Tabi and I both ended up changing clothes.)

Here's the mess she left on her chair. I snatched a few bites of her cake. It was good, but I didn't get much icing.

I forgot to put Tabi's tutu on before we changed her clothes, but we tried after. She's not too fond of it, despite it's adorableness. Sorry Auntie D! I think she'll get used to it after some time.

It didn't go to waste though! Ephraim loved wearing it and even modeled for the family.

What a cute little boy . . . . . in a tutu! (He has worn it a few times since then as well.)

Ed, the kids, and I with Gram. Both kids were exhausted by this time and we left soon after to get back for naps.

Later that night, Tabi opened up some gifts and this is a cute beanie Splat Cat to go with a book of the same name from Gram. It's an adorable book and cat!

Tabi was also pretty excited by her new little baby-doll. I'm hoping we can get both kids treating the baby-doll well before their little sister shows up this fall.

Ephraim is singing his "hot dog" song while sitting on Granpa's lap with T-bone.

Snuggling a little with Granma. They matched today since they were both wearing yellow. Ephraim thought that was pretty neat.

Both kids with Auntie D. (It may not look like a spectacular picture, but they were having such fun playing and our posed pictures later did not turn out so well.)

Me and my girl! I so rarely get pictures with the kids, since I'm usually the one taking the pics and this one turned out very nicely!

One of Ephraim's favorite faces to make! He had been drawing on the MagnaDoodle with Auntie D - he spent hours doing this over the week we were here (the MagnaDoodle, not the face).

Our posed picture with Granma and Granpa Maanum! It turned out great! All eyes are looking at the camera - this is a big accomplishment with two little ones.

The posing did not continue to go well. Tabi decided she was done and Ephraim wouldn't sit still. At least Auntie D kept her sense of humor with the whole thing!

Poor Baby #3 - she's totally getting gypped on the weekly pregnancy pictures, so I had Ed take one before he headed for home the next day. I am about 26 weeks here (I think).

Can't forget a picture of me and my handsome hubby - not sure how we'll manage being apart for 2 1/2 weeks. We've done it before, but he's never been away from the kids that long!
