St. Louis Visit

On our trip to the midwest last week, we spent two days in St. Louis. Here are some highlights:

On Friday night, the men-folk headed out to a Cards game and the ladies and kids enjoyed Markel-party. This is Ephraim, Katze, and Hannah looking out the front door. Katze is three weeks older than Ephraim, but they are on opposite ends of the growth spectrum. Ephraim is below the 10th percentile and Katze is above the 97th. Hannah is about 3 and had to come down to see the 'babies'. The kids had a good time. Ephraim still needs a helping hand while walking and seemed to think that Katze was a good person to help. Unfortunately, more often than not, he knocked her down.

On Saturday we headed to the zoo - the carousel is free for the first hour the zoo is open, so we tried it out. Ephraim wasn't too sure about it. He rode on the bear for the first couple of times around and then decided to slide off the side so I was holding him.

Ephraim and Geremy were playing peek-a-boo around Carl. Carl wasn't sure that he enjoyed being a play-toy, but Ephraim and Geremy were having a blast!

A special donor to the zoo (who had recently passed away) was being honored so the train was free the whole day. Ephraim seemed to enjoy himself (and I think Ed did too). I enjoyed getting to sit and rest for a few minutes.

After a super-late night the night before, Ephraim gave in to the sleepiness just before we left the zoo. We had a great time in St. Louis!

P.S. Can really see the extreme ends of both spectrums!
