Thanksgiving

Today has been a pretty good day. Jen and I slept in, we watched some tv, made some mashed potatoes for our contribution to dinner. We went to a parishioner's house and celebrated with them and another couple. Interesting Pueblo fact, they don't use gravy, instead they use Green Chile Sauce, which is really good, especially on a wild Turkey that Steve, my parishioner, shot himself.

The only drag about the day is that this is the first Thanksgiving that Jen and I haven't spent with family, hers or mine, since we've been married. Something to get used to I guess.

As I said the food was really good, especially the roasted garlic, bacon and cheese mashed potatoes that someone, who will remain nameless made. *Hint: The persons name rhymes with Tedward.

Hope this finds everyone doing well and thankful, not only for home, health, friends and family, but also for our spiritual life and the salvation that we have in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Had to put that last part, I am a minister afterall.)

P.S. Jen says that the only reason she married me is because I am a good cook. Her words...not mine.

WOW, have you been missed! Am dreading Christmas and New Years as this'll be the first time in your life, Ed, that you haven't been part of our family gathering. Am pouting already! ;o( This will take some time for your Mom to get used to, but have to get the 'big girl panties' on.
