Prayers and Mac Pro

I just got home from the Midweek Advent service. This was the second time, Sunday being the first, that I said the prayers without having them typed. I've said the prayers before in a service several times but I always had them printed out for practical purposes. That's right practical purposes there was no theological reason behind it. I guess I didn't trust myself to not say something stupid with a result of being struck by lightning or something worse. Since I'm still here, I guess that means that I didn't screw them up.
As Monty Python has correctly put it (please forgive me if I misquote), "Now onto something completely different." I was on the Apple website today looking at different computers because I was bored during one of my dialysis exchanges. I was looking at the Mac Pro. Just for fun I decided to see how much it would cost to fully upgrade the computer. Now the upgrade included upgrading from two 2Ghz processors to 2 3Ghz processors, 16 GB of RAM instead of 1GB, 4 750 GB 7200 rpm Hard Drives instead of 1 160 GB 7200 rpm Hard Drive. For all you math majors out that’s 3 terabytes of storage. I also increased to the graphics card to best they offer. Finally, I added 2 HD 30" displays, 2 16x Super Drives, Bluetooth and Air Port Extreme, and a Fibre Channel card (whatever that is). All of that brought the price of the computer up from $2,499 to a whopping $17,517. Honestly, who needs to spend that much on a computer?
Feel free to leave a response to this question.

The proper response to your question, of course, is "I do!" :)

In reality, though, you can shave off a thousand bucks by dropping the second monitor. Even that computer isn't powerful enough to run two of those things. It takes two video cards to run ONE 30" monitor!

You guys still have snow?

I'm not answering the question, but rather saying how happy I am that you are getting confident in yourself and not needing the prayers typed up. Also have full confidence that the Holy Spirit will continue to guide you! Love Ya ;)

Well since it's a MAC no one. A PC for gaming that awesome, preferably with quadcore procs and some Nvidia 8800's that are Vista/DX10 ready sure. Do I have the money? No.
